Diving Horse 3 - AvalonThe Diving Horse, the popular seasonal restaurant located at 2109 Dune Drive, Avalon, New Jersey, returns for Summer 2018 with an all-new menu of local fare.

The new 2018 menu includes an abundance of New Jersey and Pennsylvania products, from fresh-caught seafood to minimally manipulated produce. “Here in Avalon, we’re inspired by the summer season, and we’ve tired to make that show in every plate of this year’s debut menu,” notes Executive Chef Steven Eckerd, who oversees the kitchen with Chef de Cuisine Melissa McGrath. “Throughout the summer, we’ll continue to work closely with our producers and purveyors to craft a thoughtful collection of plates that showcase our region in beautifully simple ways.”

Diving Horse 2 - AvalonThe Diving Horse made its debut in 2010 to immediate popularity and critical acclaim. In his 2018 shore dining preview, the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Craig LaBan called the restaurant a “breezy homage to beach-chic dining,” and highlighted their “focus on sustainable Jersey seafood and ‘barely cooked’ local produce.” Philadelphia magazine has called it their “Best Shore Hot Spot,” and the restaurant is also the proud recipient of OpenTable’s prestigious “Diner’s Choice” award.
