Each year, on the third Thursday in November, Beaujolais Nouveau, the first wine of the harvest, is officially released to the public. To celebrate the new vintage, on Thursday, November 17, 2016, 6:30 p.m., the various locations of Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar will host a special five course dinner paired with wines from the Beaujolais region.
The complete menu and wine pairings are noted below…
First Course – Vegetarian Poutine: Parsnip Fries, Kennett Square Oyster Mushrooms, Char-Grilled Romanesco, Cheese Curd, Herbed Mushroom Demi-Glace; Wine Pairing: Bieler Côtes d’Aix Rosé
Second Course – Chorizo & Green Apple Stuffed Quail Salad: Kabocha Squash Purée, Kennett Square Oyster Mushrooms, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Baby Watercress, Petite Sorrel, Maple Glaze; Wine Pairing: Moreau & Fils Vouvray
Third Course – Pan-Seared Maryland Striped Bass: Autumn Vegetable Succotash, Lardons, Parsley Root Purée, Green Chili Coulis; Wine Pairing: Paul Mas Marsanne
Fourth Course – Coq au Vin: Murray’s All-Natural Chicken Breast, Pearl Onions, Pancetta, Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Baby Carrots, Merlot Demi-Glace; Wine Pairing: Domaine de Foretal Beaujolais Villages
Fifth Course – Baked Camembert: Round Top Farm’s Ring of Fire Cheese, Brûléed Pear, Pumpkin-Spiced Almond Tuile, Cranberry Ginger Gelée
The cost of the Beaujolais Nouveau wine dinner is $79.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity).
