The Frog and the Peach Hosts Spanish Wine Dinner

frog-and-peach3 Tickets are still available for the Spanish wine dinner to be hosted by the Frog and the Peach, 29 Dennis Street at Hiram Square, New Brunswick, New Jersey, tomorrow, Thursday, October 27, 2016.

Lopez-Heredia is everyone’s choice as the indispensable winery in Rioja, if not all of Spain. Diners will taste wines from the Cubillo, Bosconia, Tondonia vineyards in 2006, 2004, and 2003 vintages introduced by the winery’s importer and resident specialist, Mónica Nogués.

First Course: Steamed Cockles, Green Apple-Fennel Broth, Spanish Olive Oil; Wine Pairing: Eladio Piniero Envidia Cochina, Albariño, Rias Baixas, 2014

Second Course: House-Cured Berkshire Lomo, Nuts, Seeds, Herbs; Wine Pairing: Lopez de Heredia Cubillo 2006

Third Course: Saffron-Braised Quail, Wild Mushrooms, Burnt Carrot Purée; Wine Pairing: Lopez de Heredia Bosconia 2004

Main Course: Colorado Lamb Loin, Brussels Sprouts Gratin, Black Truffle Jus; Wine Pairing: Lopez de Heredia Tondonia 2003

Dessert: Tarta de Santiago; Wine Pairing: Buil & Giné Vermut N.V.
