On Saturday, March 12, 2016, the Mercersburg Inn, 405 South Main Street, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, will host another in its popular series of “International Wine and Food Weekends” with John Peters.
The “Wines and Foods of Tuscany” event will include an afternoon wine tasting followed in the evening by a five-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Dan Nowalk and hosted by Mr. Peters.
The afternoon wine tasting will include: Fontaleoni Vernaccia di San Gimignano 2013… Tenuta Guado al Tasso Vermintino Bolgheri 2012… Castellare di Castellina Chianti Classico 2012… La Braccesca Vino Nobile de Montepulciano 2010… Tenuta Guado al Tasso IL Bruciato 2012.

John Peters 27-year association with the wine industry has included owning and operating a wine shop and wine school in Washington, DC, working at the DeLoach Vineyards in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, and managing several wine import companies.
He has lectured on wine at the National Press Club, the Greenbriar Resort, the Homestead Resort, the French and Australian Embassies, the Decanter Club, Taste DC, and the Wine Tasting Association.
