On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, Restaurant Cerise, 1011 West Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, will kick off a series of seasonal tasting menus with a sampling of classic German dishes paired with complimentary German beers.
The special Bavarian tasting menu, noted below, will include several favorite dishes of Cerise chef/proprietor Ben Thomas, who grew up in Germany…
Chicken Liver Mousse: Cognac, Quince, Thyme; Brew Pairing: Schneider Weisse Hopfenweisse
Bockwurst: Sauerkraut, Hot Mustard, Juniper Berry; Brew Pairing: Augustiner Brau Edelstoff
Jager Schnitzel: Spaetzle, Wild Mushrooms, Chervil; Brew Pairing: Schneider Weisse Aventinus
Venison: Semelknodel, Red Cabbage, Huckleberry; Brew Pairing: Weihenstephaner Korbinian Doppelbock
Apfelkuchen: Ginger, Lemon, Cinnamon Ice Cream; Pairing: House-Made Gluhwein
The cost of this one-night-only menu is $65.00 per person (the brew pairing is complimentary) and will be offered from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
