This coming Sunday, December 14, 2014, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will debut a new location – their 11th across Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania – in Ardmore Plaza, 60 Greenfield Avenue, Ardmore, PA.
The much-awaited opening will commence at 4:00 p.m. with a celebratory “First Pour” led by Lower Merion Township Commissioner Elizabeth Rogan, along with Iron Hill’s three owners: Director of Brewery Operations, Mark Edelson; President, Keven Finn; Director of Culinary Operations, Kevin Davies; and Ardmore Head Brewer, Paul Rutherford. The restaurant’s grand opening will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m., when the doors will officially open to the public.
Iron Hill Ardmore will feature a semi-private dining room overlooking a sweeping bar area, complete with communal tables and comfortable floating booths for guests to relax, with ample seating for 280 people. The brewpub will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, serving their made-from-scratch menu that includes soups, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and entrées, covering a variety of cuisines from ethnic to hearty comfort foods. Prices range from $4.50 – $27.95.
Head Brewer Paul Rutherford, formerly in charge of the brewing tanks at Iron Hill Chestnut Hill, will open with eight beers on tap, including: Crusher, light session IPA low in alcohol but loaded with Cascade, Amarillo and Nelson hops; Biere de Ard, classic French farmhouse beer, amber-colored and brewed with larger yeast to bring out malt accents with slight fruit and pepper notes; Belgian Pale Ale, medium-bodied, copper-colored Belgian session ale with fruity yeast character and spicy, light citrusy hop character; and Pioneer Pils, pre-Prohibition-style pilsner brewed with pilsner malt grown in the United States, flaked corn and whole leaf Hallertau hops.
