Walk-Around Outdoor Beer Pairing Experience at Pleasantdale Château

pleasantdale2On Wednesday, August 20, 6:00 p.m., the Pleasantdale Château, 757 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange, New Jersey, will host a first-of-its-kind outdoor experience featuring the perfect pairing of a carefully-curated selection of craft beers and the refined-casual cuisine from Château Chef Robert Albers.

With 12 unique brews, plus additional samplings from select Belgian Trappist breweries, as well as a gluten-free hard apple cider option for fellow guests who prefer a little something different, there are picks to please every palate.

Station One: Poached Laughing Bird Shrimp Ambrosia Salad with Pecans, Coconut, Grilled Apricot, and Whipped Crème Fraiche; Fruit Beers/Cider: Lindeman Raspberry Frambroise; Samuel Smith Organic Apricot; Possmann Pure Cider

Station Two: Medallions of Roasted Pork Tenderloin Wrapped in Bacon with Grilled Radiccho and Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette; Lagers: Unita BaBa Black Lager; Samuel Smith Organic Pure Brew Lager

Station Three: Rabbit Braised in Wheat Beer with Barley and Summer Vegetable Pilaf and Carrot Purée; Wheat/Golden Ales: Ayinger Brau Weisse; North Coast PranQster Belgian-Style Golden Ale

Station Four: Sliced Duck Breast over Duck Leg Biryani with Pomegranate Molasses and Crispy Shallots; IPA/Pale Ales: New Jersey Beer Co. LBIPA; Anderson Valley Poleeko Gold Pale Ale

Station Five: Malt Extracted-Glazed Brisket with Salt and Pepper Corn Succotash; Dark/Stout: Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock; North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout

Dessert: Nectarine Crumble with Maple Whipped Cream; Brews: Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout; Anderson Valley Summer Solstice Seasonal Ale
