b.good, a healthier fast casual restaurant, plans to open five locations in the Philadelphia area and began with its Marlton, New Jersey location. On Thursday, June 26, the first b.good opened for business at The Promenade at Sagemore, 500 Route 73 South, Marlton, NJ. A ribbon-cutting/charity event is planned for Sunday, July 13.
b.good uses fresh, healthy ingredients from local producers to make house-ground burgers and sandwiches, kale & quinoa bowls, house-made vegan vegetable burgers, fresh fruit/vegetable smoothies, shakes, and hand-cut fries.
“b.good serves food you can feel good about eating, even though its served fast,” notes Deb Lutz, who loved the concept and the food so much that she left a 20-plus-year career in corporate America to bring b.good restaurants to the Philadelphia area.
Guests can select from a variety of protein options – house-ground local Black Angus burgers, homemade vegan veggie burgers, all-natural turkey burgers, and grilled on-premises chicken – as a base for different sandwich combinations.
Ms. Lutz has chosen to partner b.good with Sunday Suppers, a local non-profit organization that strives to strengthen the health and well-being of families through the transformative power of family meals. On Sunday, July 13, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., b.good will hold a ribbon-cutting and sell complete meals for $5.00, with proceeds benefiting Sunday Suppers. The restaurant will continue to hold promotions to raise funds for Sunday Suppers and volunteer at its events.
The 72-seat restaurant is located in the space formerly occupied by Lily Pulitzer in The Promenade at Sagemore on Route 73 in Marton. It has a 20-seat outside café and a small garden, which grows herbs and vegetables used in the restaurant.
