Frog and Peach - Trimbach Wine DinnerOn Thursday, May 22, 7:00 p.m., the Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick, New Jersey, will host a special wine dinner headlining the extraordinary vintages of Domaine Trimbach in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, France.

One of the most honored names in French winemaking, Jean & Pierre Trimbach are 12th generation wine growers in Ribeauvillé, Alsace, a family domaine since 1626. Across 12 generations, they have always produced wines that are structured, long-lived, fruity, elegant, and balanced: the celebrated Trimbach style.

Special guest of the evening will be Jean Trimbach, who will lead diners through these special wines, paired perfectly with Chef/Proprietor Bruce Lefebvre’s fabulous cuisine.

Reception: Pinot Blanc, 2011

First Course: Cold Smoked Copper River Salmon, Potato Galette, Egg, Purslane, Mustard Seeds; Wine Pairing: Pinot Gris Réserve, 2011

Second Course: Poached Guinea Hen, Fresh Almonds, Green Bean Purée, Garlic Brown Butter Jus; Wine Pairing: Riesling Cuvée Fédérick Emile, 2007

Third Course: Slow Roasted Berkshire Pork Belly, King Oyster Mushroom, Local Polenta, Porcini Broth, Pepperoni Oil; Wine Pairing: Gewürtztraminer Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre, 2005

Cheese Course: Munster, Wine Gelée, Caraway; Wine Pairing: Pinot Gris Réserve Vendages Tardives, 2000

Dessert: Chocolate Truffles; Kirsch
