Restaurant Latour at Crystal Springs Resort, One Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg, New Jersey, is launching Sunday brunch for the very first time in the restaurant’s nearly 10-year history.
New Chef de Latour Jean Paul Lourdes, who has worked with some of the top chefs in the world, has created a luxurious multi-course brunch unlike any other in the Garden State. The menu will feature a bounty of baked goods, brunch and savory dishes, fresh juices, and organic coffees ground and brewed to order.
The meal commences with a parade of freshly baked pastries, including pistachio Madeleines, banana walnut muffins, aged cheddar scones, and Manjari dark (64%) financiers, which arrive throughout the meal for the table, as well as a selection of various breads accompanied by an array of house-made preserves and spreads, all included in the tasting.
The menu, which includes all pastries, breads, and non-alcoholic beverages, is composed of small and large dishes; and guest can choose between the Petite Tasting ($55.00), offering diners any two plates from a selection of small & large dishes, and Grand Tasting ($75.00), with any three.
The small dishes feature fruits & grains such as Sicilian Blood Oranges with Saffron, Wild Berries cooked in Sangria, and Quinoa with Victorian Pineapple and Poppy Seeds. Large dishes feature Chef Lourdes’ take on brunch favorites along with more savory options: Organic Scrambled Eggs accompanied by Scottish Smoked Salmon, Horseradish, and Crème Fraiche; Dungeness Crab Omelet with Peas and Brie; Moroccan Pancakes with Tandoori Apples; Swedish Sandwich with Slices of Roast Pork with Fennel and Harissa; and a 45-Day Dry-Aged New York Strip Steak with Creamed Spinach
The Chef’s creativity extends to unique juice combinations and house-made sodas, all of which are included in the price. Freshly made juices – squeezed to order – offer unconventional flavor combinations such as Tomato, Watermelon, Basil, and Blood Orange, and Prune & Passion Fruit. House-made sodas bring a touch of the exotic with flavors like Bing Cherry & Yuzu or Wild Ginger & Meyer Lemon. Certified organic coffee from Ethiopia, Guatemala or Sumatra is ground and brewed to order and served in a French press to each guest. A special selection of Champagne by the glass, including Krug Grand Cuvée and Ruinart Brut Rosé, as well as brunch cocktails such as a Bloody Mary or Mojito, can be enjoyed as well (alcoholic beverages additional).
Sunday brunch is served from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with the final seating at 2:30 p.m. For more information, or to make reservations, please call (973) 827-5996, ext. 3.
