On Wednesday, February 12, 7:00 p.m., Pilsener Haus & Biergarten (http://pilsenerhaus.com), 1422 Grand Street, Hoboken, New Jersey, will host a four-course weisse bier dinner, featuring Chef Thomas Ferlesch’s superb Austro-Hungarian cuisine and the weisse biers (wheat beers) of Schneider-Weisse Brewery.
In the Old World atmosphere of Pilsener Haus, the area’s most authentic biergarten, guests will enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by a masterful chef, paired with a full spectrum of weisse biers from the world’s oldest and most revered wheat beer brewery, which has been making wheat beer since 1607.
Chef Ferlesch was born, raised, and trained in Vienna, and his resume includes ten plus years at Café des Artistes in New York City and his own Thomas Beisl Restaurant in Brooklyn. His menu at Pilsener Haus has continually garnered acclaim for its subtlety and authenticity. Chef Ferlesch will speak briefly during the dinner, as will Schneider’s US representative, Michael S. Opalenski of B. United Imports.

First Course: Herring & Sour Cream with Beans, Apples, Red Onions; Bier Pairing: Schneider Edelweisse (6.2%)
Second Course: Cream of Root Celery with Garlic Croutons; Bier Pairing: Schneider Original (5.4%)
Third Course: Burgunder Rindsragout (Boeuf Bourguignon) with Pretzel Dumplings, Sautéed Wild Mushrooms, Green Beans, Brussels Sprouts; Bier Pairing: Aventinus (8.2% ABV)
Fourth Course: Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse, Raspberries and White & Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies; Bier Pairing: Aventinus Eisbock (12% ABV) and Bier Schnapps
