South Jersey Hot Chefs Host “Feast of the Fields 2013”

On Saturday, August 17, and Sunday, August 18, South Jersey Hot Chefs will present “Feast in the Fields 2013” at the 1895 Organic Farm in Lumberton, New Jersey.

In the continued effort to strengthen and grow the public awareness of the work of the local farmers, SJ Hot Chefs continues a new and different approach – not by taking the food to the guest but the guest to the food. Guests are invited to an evening of dining with Chef Fred Kellerman of Elements Café to share in the “Feast of the Fields.”

Hors d’Oeuvres: Bruschetta du Jour, Pulled Pork Sliders, Crab Salsa

First Course: Chilled Watermelon Soup topped with Cucumber Radish Salsa

Second Course: Carrot, Basil, Almond, and Goat Cheese Salad

Main Course: Herb Grilled Beef Sirloin and Lemon Basil Grilled Shrimp, Summer Vegetable Slaw, German-Style Potato Salad (Vegetarian main course available upon request at the time of reservation.)

Dessert Course: Lemon Basil White Chocolate Chiffon Cake with Strawberry Ice Cream & Crème Angalise

Rains dates are August 24 & 25. Approximate starting time is 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday for hors d’oeuvres and dinner beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. Saturday and 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
