On Tuesday, July 30th, 7:00 p.m. Executive Chef Michelle Wilson and Head Brewer Vince DesRosiers of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, 1460 Bethlehem Pike, North Wales, Pennsylvania, will host a Summer Seafood Beer Dinner. Featured will be six courses of ocean-inspired fare paired with Iron Hill’s award-winning beers.
The menu will include the following…
Day Boat Scallop Ceviche with apricot chutney and toasted macadamia nuts; Brew Pairing: Hefeweizen, a traditional unfiltered Bavarian-style wheat beer with refreshing tanginess and a distinct yeast character of bananas and cloves
Lemongrass Grilled Oysters with wasabi breadcrumbs; Brew Pairing: Mahalo, Apollo!, a golden, complex, and refreshing summer wheat beer spiced with grains of paradise and lemongrass
Wood Oven-Roasted Baby Octopus with charred lemon and potato gaufrettes; Brew Pairing: Half Nelson IPA, an American IPA brewed with Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand for Pine-y, almost grape-like hop aroma and flavor
Spanish Seafood Stew with pink shrimp, sea bream, mussels, and chorizo in saffron broth with grilled crostini; Brew Pairing: Trojan Horse, a golden, medium-bodied IPA brewed with American hops for citrus aroma and smoked malt for depth and character
Crispy Chilean Sea Bass with soft polenta, baby crimini mushrooms and veal jus; Brew Pairing: Barleywine, a traditional brown English-style barleywine with intense, complex malt sweetness and a sherry-like quality
Buttermilk Panna Cotta, with basil-fruit jam and aged balsamic; Brew Pairing: Abbey Dubbel, a mahogany ale brewed in the style of a Belgian monastery with the sweetness of dark Belgian candi sugar and a distinct aroma of plum and pear
