May is National Burger Month… So in upcoming posts, I’ll be checking out a number of interesting restaurants in and around the NJ/NY Metro area that are offering up some downright sumptuous, cunningly creative burgers that are sure to satisfy your summer cravings… Like the towering “The Bone!” Burger ($24.00) served up by owner/chief smoker Jeffrey Feldstein of Down to the Bone Barbecue & Company in Byram, New Jersey.

“The Bone!” is constructed of two 1-pound burgers, 5 pieces of cheddar, Monterey jack & Swiss cheese, 5 pieces of thick-cut bacon, fried onion straws, brioche bun, and is served with an oversized bowl of chili-cheese fries and coleslaw… Whoa!

Other burger options include…

Down to the Bone Burger ($10.00): 10-Ounce Burger, Down to the Bone Dry Rub, Mild Madness Barbecue Sauce, Choice of Cheese, Brioche Bun

Chili Burger ($10.00): 10-Ounce Burger, Down to the Bone Dry Rub, Five Alarm Chili, Cheddar-Jack Cheese, Brioche Bun

Vegetarian Portobello Burger ($10.00): Portobello Cap, House-Blend Spices, Roasted Red peppers, Fresh Spinach, Melted Mozzarella Cheese, Brioche Bun
