St. Patrick’s Day Dining at the Gladstone Tavern

On Sunday, March 17th, Saint Patrick’s Day, the bar at the Gladstone Tavern, Gladstone, New Jersey, will open at 12:00 noon with a special dinner menu and Irish “Grub” available all day.

FROM THE BAR: Dancing Leprechaun: Plymouth Gin, Chartreuse, Champagne; Four Leaf Clover: Ketel Citroen, Midori, Lime, Soda; Smithwick’s Irish Ale; Guinness Pint Special

FIRST COURSE: Hibernian Beef Barley Soup:  Tap Root, Gold Potato, Green Cabbage; Corned Beef & Cabbage Sliders:  Grain Mustard, Dill Potato Chips; Irish Smoked Salmon:  Dill, Black Caraway, Rye Crouton, Horseradish Mustard, Baby Mustard Green; Bangers ‘n’ Mash: House Irish Sausage, Mashed Potato, Onion Gravy

MAIN COURSE: Corned Beef & Cabbage Sandwich:  Rye Bread, White Cheddar, Grain Mustard, Cottage Fries;  Corned Beef Wrapped in Cabbage:  Steamed “First Cut” Corned Beef, Mustard Sauce, Roasted Potato, Baby Carrot, Turnip; Guinness Braised Shank of Lamb: Colcannon: mushed Spuds, Bacon & Cabbage; Fish ‘n’ Chips: Beer Battered Cod, Malt Vinegar, Braised Green Cabbage, Cottage Fries

DESSERTS: Raspberry Trifle:  Lemon Sponge Cake, Fresh Raspberry, Vanilla Custard; Bailey’s Parfait:  Mint Green & Chocolate Ice Cream, Shortbread Cookie, Bailey’s Sauce; “Carrot Top” Cake:  Cream Cheese Frosting

To add to the celebration, traditional bag pipers will play at 5:00 p.m.; and a live band from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
