On Monday, March 25th, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Chakra Restaurant in Paramus, New Jersey, will host a wine dinner pitting New World wines against their Old World counterparts…

Reception: Hors d’Oeuvres; Cremant, Jean Claude Boisset

First Course: Lobster Cake, Sunny-Side Up Egg, Mesclun Greens; Chardonnay, Layer Cake 2010, California; Chablis, Christian Moreau AC 2009, Chardonnay

Second Course: Veal Tenderloin, Porcini Soft Polenta, Pinot Noir Reduction; Pinot Noir, Lesse Fitch 2011, California; Bourgogne, Nicolas Potel 2011, Cote d’Or

Dessert Course: Apple Tart, Fried Bleu Cheese, Walnut Chutney; Cabernet Sauvignon, Justin Obtuse 2010, Paso Robles; Port, Churchill 10-Year, Portugal

The cost of the New World vs. Old World wine dinner is $56.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity). Please note that all wines will be served as 2-ounce tasting portions (more ample portions are available at an additional charge).
