On Sunday, December 16th, from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., New Jersey artists Lauren Curtis (Franklin Park), Carol O’Neill (Highland Park), and Bob Virgadamo (Cranbury) will host a free opening reception for the winter 2012 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
The show includes complex watercolors, digital photo collages, and mixed-media artworks framed and ready for sale. Also featured will be the framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner of Maine, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ; handmade wooden toys from Gary Blatz, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ, of Green Mountain Toys in Vermont; and handmade jewelry from designer Patti Gaffney, owner of WildBliss Jewelry based in Helmetta.
Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004 and has been working with the Suburban Artists Guild, based in East Brunswick, since 2007. Shows are curated by East Brunswick residents Delena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Guild.
The restaurant invites the public to “Christmas at Fiddleheads,” a holiday reception to view the show and visit with the artists and restaurant owners and staff. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time. The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating during the reception, but will open for dinner at 4:30 p.m., the conclusion of the event. Reservations for the reception are not required. The exhibit will be on display through March 2013.
During the hours of the reception, Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any art, jewelry, or toy purchase over $50.00. Cash and checks are the accepted forms of payment for artwork.
