Now through December 23rd, Ristorante Panorama in the Penn’s View Hotel, 14 North Front Street, Philadelphia, PA, will be serving a four course menu featuring the traditional “Feast of the Seven Fishes.”
The cost is $45.00 per person, with an optional 3-ounce taste of the Sommelier’s Italian Island Mediterranean wine pairings with each course for an additional $30.00 per person.
Antipasti: Capesante – seared sea scallop with sweet pea sauce over broccoli rabe; Alici Fritti – pan-fired smelt lightly dusted with breadcrumbs, parmigiano, and herbs; Scungilli – sautéed in extra virgin olive oil, garlic, butter, tomato, and hot red pepper; Optional Wine Pairing: Ansonica “Isola d’Elba” Cecilia 2011 (5-ounce glass, $10.00)
Insalate: Calamari – poached calamari marinated in olive oil, garlic, and orange zest; Insalata di Baccala – salted cod with olive oil, lemon, and herbs; Optional Wine Pairing: Biancolella/Forastera “Ischia Bianco” Terradei 2010 (5-ounce glass, $12.00)
Pasta: Tortelloni di Aragosta – homemade ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and lobster in a lobster reduction with a touch of cream; Optional Wine Pairing: Torbato 100% “Terre Bianche-Sardegna” Sella & Mosca 2010 (5-ounce glass, $13.00)
Entrée: Branzino – pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass with tomato, fennel, and leek fumé; Optional Wine Pairing: Greco, 50%; Falanghina, 30%; Biancolella, 20% “Isola di Capri” Scala Fenicia 2011 (5-ounce glass, $18.00)
