On Friday, September 14th, AMA Ristorante Tuscana, the popular Italian restaurant formerly located in Atlantic Highlands, will move to the spectacular seaside setting of the Driftwood Cabana Club in Sea Bright and be renamed AMA at the Driftwood.

The restaurant will occupy the second level of the club, will more than double its original capacity, and will be open to both club members and the general public throughout the year

In addition, AMA, formerly a BYOB establishment, will offer a full bar and a carefully hand-selected boutique wine list. “We tried over 500 wines for AMA’s wine list,” Chef Pat Trama noted. “This is an exciting addition to our dining experience. For me a wine list is like adding another tantalizing ingredient to our menu; and we chose wines specifically to complement AMA’s menu. We have many reasonably priced selections as well as a very special reserve selection,” he added.

Chef Trama plans to recreate some of his favorite dishes from the Atlantic Highlands menu; but he has also spent months assembling, testing, and perfecting new creations, thanks to a larger, state-of-the-art kitchen. New menu items will include fettuccini Bolognese with black truffle butter and shaved Reggiano; Maine sea scallops with chanterelles, baby zucchini, and local corn; and a 16-ounce milk-fed veal chop with white fig marmalade and Dolce Gorgonzola.

AMA will be open for dinner Tuesday – Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and will accept all major credit cards. The second level restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
