"Menagerie" by Lauren Acton
On Wednesday, September 19th, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Za Restaurant in Pennington, New Jersey, will host an opening reception for a solo exhibition of oil paintings by award winning Philadelphia impressionist Lauren Acton.
The reception, which is open to the public, will feature wine from sponsor Hopewell Valley Vineyards and appetizers from Za Restaurant. The exhibition, “Conversations in Color,” will be on view at the restaurant through December 15, 2012. Exhibition hours are 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Lauren Acton’s vivid impressionist oil paintings have been winning awards in national & international juried exhibitions since 2002. The current exhibition features two break-through pieces, “Paris” and “Menagerie,” where chalk-like highlights break the visual flow with a sense of youth and freedom.
Ms. Action’s work has been shown in over 50 exhibitions, including venues in Florence, Italy; Philadelphia, Pa; Montauk, NY; Naples, FL, Winston-Salem, NC; Chicago, IL; and Las Vegas, NV. Her works are held in private international collections.
