This coming Sunday, August 12th, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. New Jersey artists Maria Giancola (East Brunswick), Sharon Sayegh (East Brunswick), and Betsy Larkin (Lawrenceville) will host a free opening reception for the fall 2012 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant in downtown Jamesburg.
The show includes complex watercolors, acrylics, oils, and color pencil drawings framed and ready for sale. Also featured will be the framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ, and handmade wooden toys from Gary Blatz of Green Mountain Toys in Vermont.
Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004, and has been working with the Suburban Artists Guild, based in East Brunswick, since 2007. Shows are curated by Selena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Guild.
Fiddleheads invites the public to a reception to view the show and visit with the artists and the restaurant owners and staff. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time. The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating during the reception, but will open for dinner at 4:00 p.m., at the conclusion of the event. Reservations for the reception are not required.
Also, during the hours of the reception, Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any framed art purchase over $50.00. Cash and checks are the accepted forms of payment for artwork.
