“Icons of the Andes” Wine Dinner at Gladstone Tavern

gladstone1On Thursday, March 8th, 7:30 p.m., the Gladstone Tavern, Gladstone, New Jersey, will present a special six course dinner paired with six wines from Chile and Argentina. The dinner will be hosted by Jerry La Vecchia of TGIC Importers, the leading importer of South American wines.

 

First Course: Pineapple Granite

Wine: Pasqual Toso Brut (Argentina)

 

Second Course: Heart of Palm Salad, Avocado, Mango, Machego, Tostones, Lime

Wine: Montes Limited Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2011 (Chile)

 

Third Course: Crab Empanada, Sofrito Sauce

Wine: Montes Folly Syrah 2006 (Chile)

 

Fourth Course: Fished Steamed in Banana Leaf, Grouper, Banana Salsa, Quinoa

Wine: Montes Alpha M 2007 (Chile)

 

Fifth Course: Steak Chimichurri, Grilled Flank Steak, Chorizo Mashed Yuca, Nopal Leaves, Fried Yuca

Wine: Kaiken Mai 2007 (Argentina)

 

Sixth Course: Brazo Gitano (Gypsy’s Arm), Almond Sponge Cake, Coconut Cream, Crisp Banana, Guava Sauce

Wine: Montes Late Harvest Gewürztraminer 2008 (Chile)
