On Thursday evening, February 23rd, Le Castagne, 1920 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA, will join forces with Souther Visions Travel & La Cucina at Gelso Bianco Cooking School to present an evening of food and wine from Puglia, Italy.
For one night only, visiting chef Laura Giordano from Gelso Bianco will join resident chef Michael DeLone in the kitchen at Le Castagne to create a four-course dinner featuring the hearty and rustic cucina povera of the region. The distinctive Pugliese dishes, which showcase exceptionally fresh ingredients and unfussy preparation, will be paired with the bold wines of the region, such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Salice Salentino.
Aperitivo and hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.; dinner at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $70.00 per person, including wine. There is one seating only, and space is limited.
