hi-life1If you happen to be spending the holidays in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, area, as we did several years ago, on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31st, 8:00 p.m., the Hi-Life Café will be hosting a six-course California wine dinner replete with a DJ, dancing, 500 balloons, and party favors.

Pass-Arounds: Chef Carlos’ Delectable Gopodies

Wine: Bubbles (France) Brut Rosé, Francois Montand Methode Traditionnelle

 

Second Course: Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Peach & Blueberry Compote, Sourdough Toast Points

Wine: Moscato (California) St. Supery, Napa Valley, 2010

 

Third Course: Chef Carlo’s Special Carbonara, Prosciutto, Goat Cheese Crème

Wine: Chardonnay (California) Neyers, Carneros, 2010

 

Four Course: Seared Black Atlantic Grouper, Jalapeño & Applewood Smoked Bacon Crumb, Caper-Berry Risotto

Wine: Pinot Noir (California) La Folette, North Coast, 2010

Fifth Course: Roasted Lean Venison Loin, Rosemary Red Wine Reduction, Kale Bread Pudding (Sliced Beef Tenderloin is available as a substitution)

Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon (California) Edge by Signorello, Napa Valley, 2009

 

Sixth Course: Homemade “Buche de Noel”, Apricot & Rum Filling

The cost of the New Year’s Eve California wine dinner is $125.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity).
