Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5th, and continuing through Sunday, October 16th, Fiddleheads Restaurant, Jamesburg, New Jersey, will celebrate its fifth annual Harvest Moon Wild Game Festival.
During the festival, the restaurant will offer the following wild game dinner specials:
APPETIZERS:
Gnocchi with Game Stew: Wild game stew of antelope and buffalo, onion, bacon, red wine, mushroom and turnip tossed with gnocchi ($12.50)
Crispy Frog’s Legs: Panko-breaded and flash-fried, sweet & sour sauce ($10.50)
Crock O’ Pumpkin: Pumpkin bisque served in half a roasted sugar pumpkin, roasted pumpkin seeds, candied ginger ($8.00)
ENTRÉES:
“The Wild Bunch” Mixed Grill: Italian-style wild boar sausage with cranberries, baby-back BBQ ribs, antelope, creamy risotto, steamed carrots ($35.00)
Wild Boar Baby-Back Ribs: Full rack, smoked and slow-roasted, basted with spicy barbecue sauce, French fries, Santa Fe slaw ($33.00)
Venison Osso Buco, Orange-Fennel Broth: Seared and slow-roasted, carrot, celery, fennel bulb, orange, red wine, celery root purée ($34.00)
Roast Pheasant with Swiss Chard & Vanilla-Whipped Sweet Potatoes: Juniper berry, sage, bacon, mushroom, onion, and white wine ($35.00)
Rocky Mountain Elk Burger: Lean ground elk lightly seasoned and grilled, Portobello cap, crumbled bleu cheese, apple wood smoked bacon, French fries, Santa Fe slaw ($20.00)
During the wild game festival, for those with less adventurous appetites, Fiddleheads will also be serving their regular dinner menu.
