On Saturday & Sunday, August 13 & 14, 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m., Alba Vineyard in the Village of Finesville, Milford, New Jersey, will celebrate the release of their 2010 Gewürztraminer, winner of the prestigious 2011 Governor’s Cup for the “Best Vinifera” and “Best Wine in New Jersey” at this year’s New Jersey Wine Competition.
Alba’s 2010 Gewürztraminer is a classic representation of the true Alsatian style of this grape – dry on the palate with multiple complexities on the nose. Hints of spice, rose petals, and grapefruit are the aromas that will fill the senses with the first swirl of the glass. This unique white wine pairs very well with summer grilling fare, as well as with spicy Thai food and Pacific Rim cuisine.
Tastings will be offered throughout the day for $10.00 per person, which includes samples of Alba’s estate wines paired with light appetizers.
