During the month of August, Chef Joey Baldino will debut his first restaurant, Zeppoli, 618 Collings Avenue, in Collingswood, New Jersey.
The casual, 35-seat BYOB will major in straightforward Italian cuisine, with a special focus on the island of Sicily. Drawing upon his extensive travels throughout southern Italy, Chef Baldino will prepare approachable food in a relaxed, rustic atmosphere.
Zeppoli’s menu will be divided into antipasti, pasta, entrée, and dessert selections; and menu items will range in price from $7.00 to $28.00. Highlights include: tomato & bread salad with capers and Sicilian white anchovies; whole shrimp sautéed with garlic, parsley, lemon, and chili served over cannelloni beans; house-made fennel sausage served with broccoli rabe; Sicilian fisherman stew with saffron and Moroccan couscous; and sweets such as Zeppoli classico and cannoli Siciliano.
Zeppoli will be open for dinner from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Wednesday through Monday. The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays. For more information, please visit www.zeppolirestaurant.com or call (856) 854-2670.
