hi-life-cafe3This coming Thursday, July 21st, 6:30 p.m., the Hi-Life-Café in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will host another in its series of popular wine dinners. Highlighted in this 5-course feast will be the extraordinary wines of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

 

Pass-Arounds – Chef’s Creations:

Green Grapes, Crème Fraiche, Sliced Almonds

Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Crispy Oysters, Roasted Red Pepper, Basil Aioli

Bite-Size Tenderloin Tip, Béarnaise Dipping Sauce

Wine: Pinot Gris, Forefront by Pine Ridge, Willamette Valley, 2009

 

Second Course:

Forest Mushroom Soup, Blend of Morel, Shiitake, and White Mushrooms

Wine: Chardonnay, Willamette Valley Vineyards, 2009

 

Third Course:

Striped Bass, Grilled, Summer Risotto, Plum Tomatoes, Fresh Basil

Wine: Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley Vineyards, 2010

 

Fourth Course:

Rosemary-Coated Split Game hen, Homemade Stuffing, Sautéed Greens

Wine: Pinot Noir, Archery Summit “Premier Cuvée,” Willamette Valley, 2007

 

Dessert:

Tasty Trio, Selection of Sweet Confections in Shot Glasses

Wine: Muscato Frizzante, Tualatin Estate, Willamette Valley, 2010
