hohokus-inn2The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern celebrates the arrival of spring with a collection of new menus from Chef Bryan Gregg, including a new all-day bistro menu, dinner menu, and steakhouse menu. In addition, Sunday through Thursday evenings, a new five-course farmers’ market tasting menu and seafood tasting menu will be offered.

Chef Gregg’s menus will showcase the bounty of the season, with more locally grown produce (including tomatoes and herbs grown in an on-property chef’s garden), more salads, and lighter interpretations of Inn favorites, such as Goffle Road Farms chicken and Elysian Fields lamb roast.

Five-Course Farmers’ Market Tasting Menu Will Feature: Local Mushroom Purée with Goffle Farm Chicken Garnishes and Soy Sauce; Ravioli with Maine Lobster, Chanterelles, Tarragon, and Tomato Butter; Local Watercress with Hen Egg, Asparagus, Valley Shepherd Cheese and Hazelnuts; Strube Ranch Tri Tip Steak with Tater Tots, Arrow Leaf Spinach and Porcini, finished with Blis Sherry Vinegar. A local cheese plate with garnishes finishes the meal. $46.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity); paired wines with each course, $20.00 per person.

Five-Course Seafood Tasting Menu Will Feature: Local Asparagus Purée with Blue Crab and Fennel Pollen Crème; Day Boat Scallops with Bok Choy, Enoki Mushrooms, Local Carrots and Red Miso; Gravlax, Beet Essence, Pea Tendrils, Mustard Oil and Crispy Capers; and Day Boat Halibut with Potato Pearls, Morels, Artichokes and Leeks. A local cheese plate with garnishes finishes the meal. The seafood tasting menu is priced at $49.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity); paired wines with each course, $20.00 per person.

The Inn’s new Steakhouse Menu will feature a dry-aged certified Angus beef served with two sides, including local asparagus, local mushrooms, onion strings, mac & cheese, potato purée, and sweet potato fries.

Chef Gregg’s new all-day Bistro and Dinner Menus put strong emphasis on fresh, local produce, much of it sourced from Zone 7, the farm-to-restaurant cooperative. Highlights of the new menus include soba noodle salad, lobster, crab, peas, chilies, peanuts, Savoy cabbage & sesame vinaigrette and Crab Cake with horseradish crème, citrus & baby greens. New “small plates” in the Bistro offer the opportunity to sample dinner menu selections such as wild King salmon with potato ramp ravioli, fennel seed and Meyer lemon in half-size portions throughout the day.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern, is located at One East Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. For more information about the new spring menus, or to make reservations, please call (201) 445-4115.
