On Saturday, May 7th, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, 1201 Market Street, Philadelphia magazine and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will present the Tenth Annual Philadelphia Wine Festival, benefiting Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
The only wine festival of its kind in the region, the event will showcase selections from nearly 200 of the world’s finest wineries. The event will include an extensive selection of collectable and highly regarded vintages. Winemakers or local representatives will host their tables all evening and will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their signature wines with guests.
Guests will also enjoy signature dishes from some of Philadelphia’s finest restaurants, including: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar, and The Capital Grille; an onsite silent auction will benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia; and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board will operate an on-site store, featuring wines by the bottle and the case.
The Grand Tasting will take place from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. for $125.00 per person. There will also be a VIP Tasting with early entry at 5:00 p.m. for $225.00 per person, offering exclusive tastings of selected rare wines served only to VIP guests.
