A Dignified Irish Tasting Menu at Stage Left

stage-left3From Friday, March 11th – Sunday, March 20th (excluding Tuesday, March 15th) – in honor of St. Patrick’s Day and in opposition to the many corned beef and cabbage restaurant specials – Stage Left in New Brunswick, New Jersey, will offer a four-course tasting menu inspired by the delicious foodstuffs of the Emerald Isle.

 

1st Course: Cured Salmon, Horseradish, Capers

Wine: Pinot Gris 2009, Sineann, Oregon

 

2nd Course: 75-Minute Slow-Cooked Suydam Farm Hen’s Egg, Irish Rasher Bacon, Black Pepper Gastrique

Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon “Sharecroppers” 2009, Columbia Valley, Washington State

 

3rd Course: Roasted Lamb Loin, Potato, Kale & Napa Cabbage Gratin

Wine: Atlas Vinas “Grenache – Mourvedre” 2006, McPrice Myers, Santa Barbara, California

 

4th Course: Trio of Desserts: Guinness Ice Cream; Irish Cream Crème Brûlée; Irish Whiskey Toddy Sorbet

Wine: House-Made Irish Cream by Francis

 

The cost of the Irish Tasting Menu is $69.00 per person; $99.00 per person with wine pairings (the optional wine selections are from two Irish-American winemakers, David O’Reilly and McPrice Myers.
