hohokus-innDuring the month of March, the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, will be hosting several special events that may be of interest to Garden State foodies…

 

On Tuesday, March 1st, the Inn will welcome special guest Craig McManus, author and wine educator, for Wine 101, the first in a series of wine education events. The evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be geared to novice and seasoned wine lovers alike. Participants will sample three red and three white wines, while Mr. McManus covers topics ranging from how to hold & swirl your wine glass, how to serve whites & reds, and how to select the proper wine to pair with a meal. This informative, informal class is priced at $55.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity), and will include wines, artisan breads, and imported cheeses. Guests are encouraged to have dinner prior to the event.

 

On Wednesday, March 9th, the Inn will welcome Rick Reed, owner of Cricket Hill Brewery, for its first ever Craft Beer Dinner. A local microbrewery, Cricket Hill produces the Inn’s signature Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern Ale. The evening will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will feature a six-course menu highlighted by Skookum Bay Oysters, Ale-Cured Pork Belly, Diamond H Ranch Quail, and House-Smoked Brisket. Each course will be paired with a Cricket Hill microbrew. The event is priced at $48.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity).

 

On Wednesday, March 23rd, 7:00 p.m., the Inn will welcome special guest Paul Gardner for a four-course Wine Dinner, headlining the fine vintages of Napa Valley’s Flora Springs Winery. Executive Chef Bryan Gregg will prepare a seasonally-inspired menu featuring Razor Clams and Octopus Crudo, Day Boat Scallops, Quail Eggs, and House-Smoked Bacon & American Wagyu Tri-Tip Beef. The dinner is priced at $68.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity).
