chaddsford-wineryThis January, Pennsylvania’s Chaddsford Winery will host a series of wine and cheese pairing classes, featuring their wines and domestic cheeses, most sourced from creameries located in PA and nearby states. Then, in February, they will move on to wine and chocolate pairing classes, featuring confections from Pennsylvania’s Éclat in West Chester.

Wine and cheese pairing classes will be held at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 22, and 29. Space is limited, and reservations are recommended.

Guests will sample five regional cheeses, including: Greyson, a washed-rind cow’s milk cheese from Meadow Creek Dairy in Virginia; Noble Road, a soft, ripened cow’s milk cheese from Calkins Creek in Pennsylvania; Houlihan, a mild, semi-soft cheese from Hendricks Dairy in Pennsylvania; and Firefly Farms Chevre Goat Cheese from Maryland.

Wines will include a light, crisp Pinot Grigio, and a richer, oak-aged Chardonnay; a light red Pinot Noir, and a rich, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon; Chaddsford’s Dessert Riesling; and, in a fun twist on “Wine and cheese,” their sweet Niagara paired with cheesecake. The cost of the wine and cheese pairing class is $20.00 per person.

In February, the Winery’s “Valentine” wine and chocolate pairing classes will be held at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, February 5 & 6, 12 & 13, 19 & 20, and 26 & 27. Reservations are required.

Guests will sample the exciting world-class chocolates that range in flavor from Aleppo Pepper and Mollydooker Shiraz to Champagne and Hazelnut Truffles… and a selection of six white, red, and sweet wines. The cost of the wine and chocolate pairing class is $25.00 per person.
