New Year’s Eve Dining at Philly’s Best Restaurants, Part I

Cook + Solo Restaurant Group (All restaurants will be open on New Year’s Day; Percy Street opens at 11:30 a.m. fro those looking for barbecue for brunch.)

 

Percy Street Barbecue, 900 South Street, (215) 625-8510: Guests may choose from platters or a la carte barbecued dishes from the restaurant’s Texas-inspired menu. The signature meal, the “Lockhart,” named for the Texas County that is home to some of the country’s most sought-after barbecue and featuring a generous helping of every one of Percy Street’s delicious goodies, will also be available for just $26.00 per person, with a minimum of four hungry guests.

 

Xochitl, 408 South 2nd Street, (215) 238-7280: The popular Mexican restaurant and tequila bar will offer a festive New Year’s Eve menu of five courses priced at $55.00 per person.

 

Zahav, 237 St. James Place, (215) 625-8800: Chef Michael Solomonov will prepare a four-course Israeli New Year’s Eve menu for $65.00 per person. Guests who wish to enjoy a selection of rare and prized Israeli wines with their meal may do so for an additional $35.00 per person.
