On Sunday, December 12th, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., New Jersey artists Carl Frankel of Monroe, Koenraad “Koerie” Seghers of Highland Park, and Twyla Tanko of Sewaren will host a free opening reception for the winter 2010 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
The show includes complex watercolors, acrylics, and pencil-and-charcoal artworks framed and ready for sale. Also featured will be the framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner of Maine, and handmade woodcrafts from Green Mountain Toys in Vermont.
Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004, and has been working with the Suburban Artists Guild of East Brunswick, NJ, since 2007. Shows are curated by Selena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Guild.
Fiddleheads invites the public to “Christmas at Fiddleheads,” a holiday reception to view the show and visit with the artists and the restaurant owners and staff. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time. The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating, but will open for dinner at 4:00 p.m., at the conclusion of the event.
Also, during the hours of the reception, Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any art purchase over $50.00. Cash and checks are the accepted forms of payment for the artwork.
The exhibit will be on display through March 2011.
