On Tuesday, September 28th, at the Prince George Ballroom, New York City, New York, founder Alan “Battman” Batt, will bring together the 6th annual “The Great Gathering of Chefs” to benefit Action Against Hunger.
At this year’s event, Battman, who has photographed chefs and their culinary compositions for more than 20 years, will unveil his “Pasta” and “Pudding” books, a culmination of recipes and photographs from hundreds of top chefs. Approximately 150 of the published chefs will all gather together to autograph a limited number of books, which will then be sold to benefit Action Against Hunger/ACF International, a global humanitarian organization with life-saving programs in over 40 countries.
After the signing, where ticket holders can mingle with their favorite chefs, 20 plus leading restaurants will offer a delicious tasting, featuring recipes from the books, mixed with good wine, a live DJ, and silent auctions.
At this year’s “Great Gathering of Chefs” Battman will not only be launching two new cookbooks, but he will also be unveiling “The Chef’s Connection”, a new website for the food world with a private side for chefs (think Facebook for chefs) and a public side for people who like to eat.
