On Sunday, August 29th, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Middlesex County area artists Sandy Behrend (Kendall Park), Jean Dunham (Monroe), and Yimeng Ling (Edison) will host a free opening reception for the fall 2010 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
The show includes complex watercolors and pastels, framed and ready for sale. Also featured will be the framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner of Maine. Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004 and has been working with the Suburban Artists Guild, based in East Brunswick, NJ, since 2007. Shows are curated by Selena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Guild.
Fiddleheads invites the public to a reception to view the show and visit with the artists and the restaurant owners and staff. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time. The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating during the reception, but will open for dinner at 4:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the event. Reservations are not required for the reception.
Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any art purchase. Cash and checks are the only accepted form of payment for artwork.
Fiddleheads is located in downtown Jamesburg at 27 East Railroad Avenue. The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday – Saturday; for dinner Wednesday – Sunday; and for an à la carte Sunday brunch. Patrons may bring their own wine and beer.
