Chef’s Lab, a unique educational resource center for amateur chefs of all skill levels, is set to make its debut on Saturday, June 5th, in Montclair, New Jersey.
Cooking at home is back in vogue, as economic and lifestyle changes have brought more people back to their kitchens. The problem is, however, many people are out of practice or completely inexperienced in the culinary arts.
Chef’s Lab has been created in order to give amateur chefs of all skill levels a place where they can explore, experiment, and enjoy food, as well as secure the right tools to help them utilize that new knowledge at home.
Chef’s Lab will feature a retail space designed by local artisans using repurposed fixtures and furniture and an educational area boasting 300 plus cookbooks and reference materials. It is committed to providing top customer service, best in class products, and culinary instruction that will help participants to become better cooks.
“Our goal is to create a place to explore, experiment, and enjoy the art of cooking in a relaxed and fun environment,” noted Henry Thervil, CEO and founder. “Chef’s Lab is a place for people interested in learning, trying new things and, most importantly, experimenting with ideas, concepts, recipes, and techniques within the culture of food.”
Chef’s Lab, which is located at 345 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, New Jersey, is set to open on June 5th, 2010, with demonstrations and participatory events open to the public. For more information, be sure to consult www.chefslaboratory.com.
