On Sunday, May 9th, Alice’s Restaurant in Lake Hopatcong will be serving up a scrumptious Sunday brunch headlining Chef’s David Drake’s extraordinary culinary offerings. Diners may choose from such items as white bean & escarole soup, beer batter onion rings, or smoked tomato bisque. Chef Dominque Filoni at Avenue in Long Branch will be presenting two tempting and reasonably priced three-course prix-fixe all-day options. Brunch will be served from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. ($35.00 per person, plus beverage, tax & gratuity); dinner will be offered from 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. ($42.00 per person, plus beverage, tax & gratuity). At the Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, diners may choose from a traditional brunch buffet in the Fenwick Ballroom or a 3-course prix-fixe in the dining room. The buffet will be served from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and will offer carving stations of roasted leg of lamb and beef tenderloin, as well as seafood, omelets, fresh fruits and salads, and decadent desserts, including an ice cream sundae bar. The buffet is priced at $59.00 for adults; $35.00 for children ages 6-12; and $15.00 for children ages 2-5. Seatings for children under age 2 are complimentary. Boulevard Five72 in Kenilworth invites diners to savor chef/proprietor Scott’s Snyder’s special Sunday brunch or Sunday supper. The brunch will feature a smorgasbord of traditional omelets, carving and raw bar stations, choice of pancakes, crepes, or French toast, and entrées such as chicken Francese and seafood paella.
