From Monday, March 29th, through Tuesday, April 6th, Chef Michael Solomonov will serve a special Passover feast at his modern Israeli restaurant, Zahav, 237 St. James Place, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“Passover is a time of celebration and remembrance, and both of those things are best done over a great meal, surrounded by family and friends,” notes Chef Solomonov. “I hope that our guests will join us and bring their loved ones with them to experience this special meal.”
The Passover Mesibah menu will include: Handmade Matzah; assorted Salatim, or salads, and Hummus; Roasted Matzah Balls with black garlic broth; White Tuna with beets and horseradish; Asparagus with spring egg salad and walnuts; Leek Fritters with charoset; Coffee-Braised Brisket with schmaltzy potatoes; and Matzoh Brei with red wine-spiced ice cream.
The cost of this festive menu is $42.00 per person (plus tax and gratuity). For more information, or to make reservations, please call (215) 625-8800.
Since opening in May of 2008, Zahav – which means “gold” in Hebrew – has received critical acclaim for its modern Israeli fare served in a traditional family-style setting. Esquire named Zahav one of the “Best New Restaurants 2008,” and both Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure named Zahav among the top restaurants in the nation in their May 2009 issues.
Bon Appétit!
