acacia-mid-town1On Sunday, March 14th, Acacia Mid-Town, 2601 West Cary Street, Richmond, Virginia, will hold another in its ongoing series of wine dinners. The focus of attention at this event will be the wines of the St. Innocent Winery in Salem, Oregon; and winemaker Mark Vlossak will be on hand to introduce his extraordinary vintages.

 

The chef will prepare a 4-course meal inspired by Oregon’s Willamette Valley and one of its most captivating varietals, Pinot Noir…

 

Course One:

Salmon Tartar, White Asparagus Cream

Wine: 2008 St. Innocent, Pinot Blanc, Freedom Hill, Willamette Valley

 

Course Two:

Crispy Potato-Wrapped Rouget, Duck Pâté, Vanilla Bean Scented Blood Orange Confit

Wine: 2008 St. Innocent Pinot Gris, Vitae Springs, Willamette Valley

 

Course Three:

Duck Skin-Wrapped Tuna, Oxtail Marmalade, Port Wine Sauce

Wine: 2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir, Momtazi Vineyard, Willamette Valley

 

Course Four:

Braised Veal Cheek, Artichoke & Yukon Gold Mash, Tomato-Black Olive Sauce

Wine: 2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir, Shea Vineyard, Willamette Valley
