“A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread, and Thou”

gary4Weather permitting, tomorrow, Thursday, February 11th, just in time for Valentine’s Day, Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, 1308 Route 23 North, Wayne, New Jersey, will host a special poetry reading with acclaimed NJ poets Laura Boss and Maria Mazziotti Gillan.

 

Laura Boss is a national award-winning poet and is the founder and editor of Lips poetry magazine. She has been the featured reader at the United Nations, Princeton University, the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC, the Geraldine R. Dodge Festival, and NJPAC among other venues.

 

Maria Mazziotti Gillan won the American Book Award for her latest work, All that Lies Between Us. She is the founder/executive director of the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College in Paterson. She is also director of the creative writing program and professor of poetry at Binghamton University, State University of New York.

 

The poetry reading will be held from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and admission is free. And, compliments of Gary’s, all attendees will enjoy samples of specially selected wines, cheeses, artisanal breads, and chocolates. An open mic will follow the initial readings, and Gary’s will provide a live-feed for watching online.
