valentine21If you reside anywhere in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area, you might consider celebrating Valentine’s Day, Sunday, February 14th, at one of Philadelphia’s finest restaurants… Here are several more interesting options to ponder…

 

On Valentine’s Day, Supper, 926 South Street will host their annual “Sweetheart’s Pajama Brunch,” featuring their full brunch menu from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Guests dining in their pajamas will receive a free mimosa and complimentary banana beignets. For dinner, in addition to the à la carte menu, the restaurant will offer a $68.00 lover’s prix-fixe 4-course menu. Special dishes will include: Wellfleet Oyster with House-Made BBQ Sauce, Horseradish, and Lemon; Saffron-Scented Israeli Couscous with Roasted Cauliflower, Mint, Chilies, and Sheep’s Milk Feta; Butter-Poached Maine Lobster with Sweet Potatoes Lyonnaise and Blood Orange Vinaigrette; Pan-Roasted New York Strip Loin with Pickled Beets, Parsnip Purée, and Brussels Sprouts leaves; and, for dessert, Dark Chocolate Pudding with Fresh Raspberries and Salted Butter Cookies. Reservations are recommended and accepted from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (215) 592-8180.

 

Table 31, located in the Comcast Center, will offer a special Valentine’s weekend menu to be served Friday, February 12th – Sunday, February 14th. Chef Chris Scarduzio’s culinary offerings will include: Grilled Langostines Oreganato with Sautéed Radicchio and Lemon Dressing; Homemade Cavatelli with Pancetta and Sun-Dried Tomato Butter; Whole Roasted Branzino with Brown Butter, Capers, Tomatoes, Lemon, and Herbs; 14-Ounce Veal Chop stuffed with Fontina Cheese and Broccoli Rabe, wrapped with Prosciutto; and Domestic Rack of Lamb with Cannellini Beans, Escarole, Pancetta, and a Lemon-Thyme Jus. Dessert selections will also be available and complimentary roses will be given to guests on Valentine’s Day. Reservations are recommended and will be accepted for Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (215) 567-7111.

 

Chef Michael Solomonov of Zahav, 237 St. James Place, has created a special “Mesibah Menu” to be served on Valentine’s Day. A sampling of the dishes will include: Hummus-Tehina with House-Baked Laffa; a Selection of Mezze; Duck Breast Al Ha’Esh with Rose Petals and Duck Confit; and, for dessert, Chocolate Konafi with Salted Chocolate Caramel. Also included will be two glasses of Israeli sparkling wine. The menu price is $100.00 per couple. Reservations are recommended and are being accepted from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (215) 625-8800.
