On New Year’s Eve, Gladstone Tavern will present a seven course chef’s tasting menu, beginning at 9:00 p.m. This special menu will include: lobster-artichoke cocktail, lemon mousse; beef consommé, black truffles, vegetable confetti; ruby red grapefruit sorbet; seared Chilean sea bass, caviar, trumpet mushrooms, vegetables streams; bacon-wrapped filet mignon, green peppercorn béarnaise, twice-baked potato; chocolate opera cake, dark cherry rum sauce; Champagne toast; cookies and petits fours. Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City will celebrate the New Year with midnight fireworks, open bar, buffet dinner, DJ, Champagne toast, and party favors… all overlooking the New York skyline. Chef James Laird of Restaurant Serenade in Chatham will present two seatings this New Year’s Eve. His twilight menu, at 5:30 p.m., will offer four courses at $85.00 per person (plus beverage, tax & gratuity).
