table-31This coming Saturday, December 12, from 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m., the new Table 31, 1701 JFK Boulevard, Philadelphia, will host a fun and festive gingerbread house-making party. Set in the soaring lobby of the Comcast Center, the party will feature a buffet of candy and royal icing for constructing and decorating the houses. A total of 100 houses will be available for sale, at $40.00 per house, for guests to assemble, decorate, and take home as a fun centerpiece or holiday snack.

Decorations will include gum drops, candy canes, and other assorted candies, as well as an endless supply of royal icing, the classic white frosting that is ideal both as a cement for the houses and for hanging from the eaves as drifts of tasty “snow.”

After decorating the houses, guests are invited to enjoy the free holiday spectacular in 3-D and then visit Table 31 for a sophisticated and soulful meal of authentic Italian fare.

The lobby of the Comcast Center is home to the world’s largest four-millimeter LED screen, an 83 x 25 foot video wall that airs their 19-minute holiday spectacular in 3-D daily, on the hour from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. throughout the holiday season.

Table 31 features a variety of dining spaces, including two stunning bars, ground- and second-floor dining rooms, an intimate second-floor mezzanine lounge, a second-floor private dining room, and an elegant third-floor banquet facility, as well as ample space for dining al fresco at Table 31’s Plaza Café.

Table 31 is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. For more information about the gingerbread house-making party, or to make reservations, please call (215) 567-7111.

Bon Appétit!
