“A Night of Oysters and Champagne” returns to the Milford Oyster House, 92 Route 519, Milford, NJ, on Friday, November 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The event is designed to honor the restaurant’s namesake bivalve. At least six different oyster varieties will be featured, both cooked and raw, as well as the regular menu. “After a big, rich meal like Thanksgiving, it is nice to have a palate cleansing meal like oysters & champagne,” notes Chef H. Edwin Coss. For those who don’t like oysters, the restaurant’s regular and tavern menus will also be available.
This special event will headline one of Chef Coss’s signature dishes, Oysters Milford, which are baked with spinach, brandy, and goat cheese. Cooked oysters will also include BBQ oysters, and sherry, Brie, and oyster soup.
“A Night of Oysters and Champagne” will also feature six different champagnes and sparkling wines. Featured will be Pearly Bay from South Africa, Peter Brum Sekt from Germany, Aubry Brut from, Pierre Peters, Tattinger Cuvée Prestige Blanc, and Deutz Brut Classic, all from France.
There is no set price for the event. All items are available à la carte, beginning at $1.00 an oyster.
More information and reservations for the event are available by calling the Milford Oyster House at (908) 995-9411.
