Harvest Moon Wild-Game Festival at Fiddleheads

fiddleheads3Fiddleheads Restaurant, 27 East Railroad Avenue, in Jamesburg, NJ, has launched its much anticipated 3rd annual “Harvest Moon Wild-Game Festival.” The festival began yesterday, October 14, and will run through Sunday, October 25.

 

Here’s a list of the specials…

 

The Wild Bunch Mixed Grill ($36.00): Italian-Style Wild Boar Sausage with Cranberries, Smoked Venison Sausage with Blueberries, Buffalo Top Sirloin, and Venison Cutlet. All are grilled and served with a Wild-Fiddlehead Risotto and Steamed Sweet Carrots.

 

Venison with Wild Fiddleheads ($30.00): Free-Range Venison, seared and served with a Sauce of Wild Canadian Fiddleheads, Thyme, and a splash of Demi-Glace, served with Mashed Potatoes.

 

Buffalo Top Sirloin ($30.00): Lean, Free-Range Buffalo Top Sirloin, grilled and resting on a Demi-Glace with Stilton Pear-Apple Blue Cheese, served with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Steamed Sweet Carrots.

 

Yellowstone Stew ($32.00): Buffalo, Venison, Antelope, and Quail stewed in a rich stock with Baby Red Potatoes, Wild Canadian Fiddleheads, Carrots, Plum Tomatoes, and Turnips, served with a Stuffed Sweet Pepper.

 

Frog’s Legs Mardi Gras ($27.00): Coated in breadcrumbs then flash fried, served with Jasmine Rice and a Moderately Spicy Low Country-Style Gumbo Sauce, accompanied by a Slice of Toasted Jalapeño-White Cheddar Focaccia

One additional note… Due to popular demand, Fiddleheads will be serving Saturday lunch, 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., now through Christmastime… So be sure to check out the menu and stop by.
