On of my favorite Richmond restaurants, Acacia Mid-Town, will be serving up another in its series of exciting mini wine dinners this coming Wednesday, September 30th. This month’s event will feature Italian wines with guest Katie Dorazio of Michael Downey Selections.
Three delicious courses and three fine wines will be offered to participants…
1st Course: Arugula and Porchetta Salad, Onion Raisin Marmalade
Wine: Dal Maso, Gambellara “Ca’Fischele,” 2008
2nd Course: Veal and Fall Squash Ravioli with Apple Brown Butter Sage Sauce
Wine: Crivelli, Barbera d’Asti “Collina La Mora,” 2007
3rd Course: Sautéed Sea Bass, Kale, Spinach, Ricotta Gnundi, Late-Summer Truffle Sauce
Wine: Vietti, Roero Arneis, 2008

3rd Course: Boar Polpettone wrapped in Pancetta, Braised in Tomato, Borlotti Beans, Swiss Chard
Wine: Buondonno, Chianti Classico Riserva, 2006
The cost of the mini wine dinner is $35.00 per person (plus tax & gratuity). The dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and reservations are recommended. Please call (804) 562-0138.
