lemaire2During the month of September, Lemaire Restaurant in the venerable Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA, will host several top-notch wine dinners.

 

The first will be held this coming Thursday, September 17th, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Executive Chef Walter Bundy and Sous Chefs Bryan McClure and Chris Visger have prepared an intriguing menu to complement the exceptional wines of Australia’s Hay Shed Hill Winery.

 

First Course: Chilled Virginia Jumbo Lump Crab Salad, Belgian Endive, Sweet Cantaloupe, Lemon Oil

Wine: Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, Margaret River, 2008

 

Second Course: Lemon Thyme-Roasted Jumbo Sea Scallops, Manakintowne Farms Micro Arugula, Local Apples, Grapefruit-Vanilla Bean Butter

Wine: Chardonnay, Margaret River, 2008

 

Third Course: Peppercorn-Crusted Muscovy Duck Breast, Sweet Potato, Duck Confit and Wild Mushroom Hash, Asparagus, Black Truffle Vinaigrette

Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, 2007

 

Fourth Course: Espresso Bean Dusted Lamb Loin, Byrd Mills Stone Ground Grits, Turnip Greens, Cherry-Chocolate Demi-Glace

Wine: Shiraz, Margaret River, 2007
