nicholas3On Thursday, June 4th, Restaurant Nicholas in Middletown will host a 5-course wine dinner showcasing the extraordinary wines of Unti Vineyards of California’s Dry Creek Valley.

 

Hors d’oeuvres reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by dinner and wine pairing presented by winemaker Mick Unti.

Reception: Passed Hors d’Oeuvres

Wine: 2008 Rose, Dry Creek Valley

 

First Course: House-Cured Beef, Mustard Seed Caviar, Pickled Red Pearl Onions, Pumpernickel Croutons

Wine: 2006 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley

 

Second Course: Pine Nut-Crusted Halibut, Roasted Garlic Polenta, Balsamic Mascarpone Cheese

Wine: 2007 Barbera, Dry Creek Valley

 

Third Course: Rabbit Rillette, Fennel Purée Candied Almond, Pickled Blueberry

Wine: 2006 Grenache, Dry Creek Valley

 

Fourth Course: Roasted Pork Chop, Mustard Spaetzle, Vidalia Onion Purée

Wine: 2005 Syrah, Dry Creek Valley

 

Fifth Course: Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Ice Cream, Pineapple Chip

Wine: 2004 Grenache Doux, Dry Creek Valley
